My crazy and Unpredictable Life

My sister and I(right) at the Ice Castles in Lincoln, NH.

I grew up in a city named Woburn located about twenty minutes north of Boston, MA.  Woburn is home to some important events such as the Boston and Lowell Railroad which operated through Woburn and was one of the first railroads in North America. Originally, my mom is from Puerto Rico and my dad is from Colombia which they left at the young age of eighteen. Even though I was born in Massachusetts, my parents always felt the need to teach my older siblings and myself Spanish. My older siblings consist of two sisters and a brother, even with our age gap we are all very close and always do family activities together such as our annual apple picking or game night at my brother's house. Growing up I was always used to a big family, even to this day I'm not sure how many cousins I really have. I am very thankful to have such a big family that is full of love and support. As I get older, I realize I would not be the person I have become without my family always telling me to follow my dreams and picking me up when I feel like giving up.

Ever since I was little, I have always loved going up to North Conway in New Hampshire. One of my interests include horse back riding which I do whenever I have the chance to make the trip to North Conway which is about a three hour ride up. For me, there is nothing better than being able to take in the scenery and having a relaxing experience. Whenever I am up in the White Mountains, I always do outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and swimming which I enjoy very much. I have always enjoyed being outdoors and being able to connect to nature. One of my other interests is reading, I try to read a book a week but sometimes I unfortunately don't have the time to finish that quickly. My favorite genre is definitely history, especially books that are based off of world war ll. As a young child I was always very interested in anything that had to do with history ,with a strong interest in wars. While many people find history unexciting, I have always had a passion to learn more about not just the history of our country but also others.

My family and friends would describe me as very outgoing, I have always made friends very easily as I am not shy and will start a conversation with just about anyone. I always make it a point to be friendly to everyone no matter what, sometimes you don't know what a person is going through and being friendly can go a long way for someone. I am also a very good friend, I am always there for them if they need anything such as advice or someone to vent to about their problems. I am a very family oriented person, I would rather be in the company of my family than anyone else. My family and I are very close and do everything together and would consider my immediate family some of my best friends, there is nothing I wouldn't do for them.

  1. Caroline,

Excellent first post. Your writing is very strong. You have a natural knack for organizing your thoughts into writing.

I also like the simplicity of your template and the images that you chose. Please be sure to add one more image - so that you have 3 total per post. The images you have here are great, just add one more to take it to the top.

It sounds like you have a great family and interesting family history. Are you a history major? I was a history major in college and loved studying European History.

I also like that you included your interests with nature and your affinity for New Hampshire. I feel like you accomplished this assignment by standing out with your uniqueness. Great details.

    Grade: 95

    1. Thank you so much, right now I'm just doing my pre requisites and then transferring to a different college that has a pre-vet major since I absolutely love animals and I think it would suit me for the long run.
