The Three Major Experiences in My Life That Made Me Me

Image
In the twenty one years I have been alive, I have been through a lot in my life. Every individual has multiple experiences that have shaped them into the person they are to this day whether its small or big. For me, my three major experiences that have affected my life have been graduating high school, the stroke that happened to my grandmother and having my family in my life again. To many, graduating high school is not too big of an accomplishment but to my family education is one of the most important things. Before I graduated high school, my grandmother had a very serious stroke. When I heard about it all I could do was cry, I didn't think something like this would happen to her. As you can tell, family is the most important thing to me which is why I was ecstatic to  have my dad's family back in our lives after years of no contact. It was so amazing getting to know my family more than ever and is something I will always treasure. The day I graduated high school, I wa...

To All the Strengths and Weaknesses Who Made Me the Person I am Today

Image
My entire life I have always been a very compassionate and understanding individual. I have always been a person that people can rely on to go to about their problems and give my honest opinion. When my best friend Brianna came to me to talk about her relationship problems she knew she came to the right person. Her boyfriend at the time Sean was getting involved in drugs and alcohol and she did not know what to do, she had been dealing her feelings pulling her in many different directions. Brianna didn't know whether she should stay and help him with his substance abuse or leave, no matter how much she loved him she just didn't know what to do anymore. At first I felt upset that Brianna was in a situation where she felt like she had to stay or else he would cause harm to himself. After hearing her talk more about his situation I told her she shouldn't stay in a toxic relationship because she's scared of what would happen to Sean, her happiness should be the deciding f...

A Letter to The Person Who Inspired Me

Image
Dear Mrs. Thambash, I hope you are doing well, we haven't talked in a little over three years now since I graduated high school. I am sure your students are keeping you very busy in your Spanish class but hopefully you love them. I am writing this letter to thank you for helping me in ways you couldn't imagine. You impacted my life in a big way and I will forever be thankful for that and just for being yourself. Even when I didn't believe in myself, you always did and I am so grateful that you did. You always saw the potential I had in me when I was down on myself and couldn't see it at times. Thank you for always reminding me to follow my dreams and that anything is possible if I work hard and give it my all. You will never realize how much your words have meaning to me to this day. I am so lucky I was put into your Spanish class in the tenth grade because you are the best teacher I have ever had. You supported me in anything I needed and never failed to tell ...

My crazy and Unpredictable Life

My sister and I(right) at the Ice Castles in Lincoln, NH. I grew up in a city named Woburn located about twenty minutes north of Boston, MA.  Woburn is home to some important events such as the Boston and Lowell Railroad which operated through Woburn and was one of the first railroads in North America. Originally, my mom is from Puerto Rico and my dad is from Colombia which they left at the young age of eighteen. Even though I was born in Massachusetts, my parents always felt the need to teach my older siblings and myself Spanish. My older siblings consist of two sisters and a brother, even with our age gap we are all very close and always do family activities together such as our annual apple picking or game night at my brother's house. Growing up I was always used to a big family, even to this day I'm not sure how many cousins I really have. I am very thankful to have such a big family that is full of love and support. As I get older, I realize I would not be the per...
