What is My Life's Mission?

Image
An organization I would be passionate about helping would be an animal shelter. I have always had a soft spot in my heart for helping animals in need. It breaks my heart seeing animals that have been abandoned, surrendered or those who are just strays; I wish I could help them all. In the future, I would love to open up my own animal shelter dedicated to providing a temporary home to those in need and also providing general veterinary services to the public which would allow individuals to bring their dogs for low or no cost services if they can not afford it. I believe every animal should have the proper vaccinations and other services regardless if their owners could afford it or not. I would love to be able to help as many animals as possible regardless of their circumstances.  I believe my mission in life is to help as many individuals and animals as I possibly can in my lifetime. It is so rewarding to help others in need, there is nothing I cherish more. In the future...

Grateful for My Job

Image
Right now, I work at a daycare run by my best friend's mom. The kids who go to the daycare range in age from newborn to five years old. I work there three days a week while I go to school the other two days of the week. Working there has been such a big joy in life, even though I have only had one job before this one, this is a job I truly enjoy. Every day the kids shows me something new every day, I am forever grateful for these kids and this job.  The kids at the daycare make my day brighter even if I am having a horrible day. The kids can make anyone smile, they are the sweetest and funniest kids I have ever met. They are very outgoing and rambunctious, they are always doing something they shouldn't be or climbing on something they know they can't. Their favorite games to play with me are hide and seek(even though they hide in plain view), ring around the rosie, and pretending to be chefs. They are always so loud; yelling or crying all the time for absolutely no...

Unknown Future

Image
In 10 years I will finally be a veterinarian, I will be helping all kinds of animals ranging from dogs to hamsters to turtles. This job will make me happier than I thought and will fulfill me in ways I never knew it would.  I will have my own animal hospital since I have always wanted to be my own boss. I will do a lot of pro-bono cases for individuals who can't afford to get their pet what they need whether its surgery or just vaccines. I will live right outside of Boston, perhaps in Winchester or Lexington with my husband and our 5 dogs. We don't have kids yet since we have spent most of our time travelling the world, our favorite place being Europe. Two years after we finish travelling we will have kids, two twin boys and a girl who are our pride and joy.  Me and my husband will have saved enough money to buy a vacation house, perhaps in the White Mountains or maybe somewhere tropical like Bermuda. Most importantly, we will be happy.  As I'm hea...

What Will the Future Hold?

Image
During my lifetime, I hope to accomplish many things. These include graduating and getting my bachelor's degree and also going to school after that to receive my DVM which stands for Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Many of my other goals include traveling, even though I want to try to go to every country, I have especially always wanted to backpack across Europe to every single country in it. During my life, I hope to get married, buy a home and eventually have a couple children. I have a big family so nothing would make me happier than having a couple of my own, I have always wanted three or four kids. I also hope to one day open up my own animal hospital and start an animal charity since there are so many animals that could use a home or help animal s...

Passion

Image
For years I tried to find out what I was passionate about, it was right in front of my eyes but I didn't do much to help with that passion. In the past few years I realized the two biggest passions in my life were helping animals and also helping other individuals. Helping others and seeing how something so simple could help make their day a little brighter makes my heart so happy. There are so many ways to help someone whether its something simple such as helping with their groceries or holding the door open for another person. Every day I make it a goal to help brighten someone's day even just a little, for example the other day outside of Bunker Hill there was a homeless man sitting outside waiting for people to give him change. I stopped to give him some spare change I had,I knew it would mean a lot more to him than myself but as I kept walking I knew there was more I could do so I went inside and got him a sandwich, a burger and some water. As I brought it back to him h...

Grateful

Image
At times, I forget how appreciative I am of the people around me and the material things I have. Many times I forget to really appreciate my family who are so supportive and loving, there are not many people who have a family or if they do, perhaps they don't have one that are as caring and understanding. Another thing I take for granted are simple things like having a home and having food on the table, everyday people become homeless and wonder where their next meal is coming from. Sometimes I forget that not everyone is fortunate enough to be have a home or to be able to eat three meals a day, I am trying to make it a goal every morning to think about what I am grateful for and not to take it for granted. My education is also something I often take for granted, thankfully I am able to go to college which many can't say the same about. Most in my family never had the opportunity to be able to attend college, many were not even able to graduate high school given their circums...

Thankful For Family

Image
This past week was midterms week unfortunately. Right now I am taking two online classes which include this class and an algebra and geometry class and one on campus on psychology which is a mini-session. Right now, my math class is the hardest class I am taking. It's like no matter how much I try I can never seem to understand the concept. My junior and senior year of high school I learned the same material but since it's been a couple years since that I have forgotten all the information and now have to try to relearn everything. I have spent hours trying to study for my midterm which I took Wednesday, thankfully I think I did pretty well. The hours I have spent trying to study definitely came in handy on my midterm. My other class currently is my psychology class which I am very interested by. In that class we work in groups which I am not a big fan of, I definitely prefer to work alone but I know doing it will help in the future with whatever I choose as a career. When i...
